STUDIO & PRODUCTION MANAGER

Milena Silvano is small creative studio based in East London. We specialise in sheepskin garments for conscious women, and we make everything locally &/or in-house. Our collection and philosophy have evolved gradually and intuitively. We started our label working solely with reclaimed materials, and we have evolved to include responsibly sourced materials from certified tanneries. Sustainability is at the core of what we do, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on person that will assist us in shaping up our business in line with our core values.

This is a part time role, and the candidate will be working on all aspects of the business directly with Milena.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sampling and production management

  • Create and manage the critical path for sampling, bulk production and DTC orders
  • Liaise with factories and contractors to place orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee fabric, trim, hardware and pattern ordering and make sure factories have all materials and relevant information to deliver on time
  • Visit factories for quality control
  • Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory

Studio operations

  • Maintain studio schedule during busy periods
  • Monitor stocks of studio supplies and packing materials
  • Continually look at ways to improve systems, whilst focusing on quality

Logistics

  • Fulfill DTC and wholesale orders with appropriate export documentation

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production and product development processes and best practise
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting
  • Knowledge of Shopify and Photoshop preferred
  • Experience creating tech packs for sampling or production
  • Excellent organisational & problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Good time-management, able to organise and prioritise work
  • A team player, ready to lend a hand in multiple areas of the business as needed
